Our History
Vericon Construction Company was founded in 2005 by Charles DeAngelis, Stephen Mellett, Sr., and Tricia Vohden with a shared vision to build a company rooted in integrity, accountability and excellence.
Inspired by Veritas, the Latin word for truth, our name reflects the core value that continues to guide our work: always doing the right thing for our clients, partners and team members.

20 Years of Building a Lasting Legacy
What began as a small operation of five employees has grown into a nationally recognized, full-service General Contracting and Construction Management firm with six offices across multiple regions. In 2012, we began expanding beyond our New Jersey roots to better serve our clients, and today, our geographic reach spans more than half of the United States.
Our steady growth is a direct result of our people and our values. We welcomed Robert Mikell, Patrice Clark, John Piccirillo, and David Mellett to the ownership team, each bringing valuable leadership and a deep commitment to Vericon’s mission. We now manage hundreds of projects annually for Fortune 500 clients across the private commercial sector. With a focus on transparency, collaboration, and delivering results, we’ve built long-standing partnerships with 99% of our work performed for repeat clients.
As we grow, we remain committed to giving back to the community. In 2015, we established The Vericon Foundation to commemorate our tenth anniversary and formalize our charitable efforts. Since then, we have raised significant funds for local charities and volunteered many hours, including preparing monthly meals for the St. Joseph Social Service Center. Whether overseeing construction projects or supporting our community, we maintain a strong commitment to professionalism and integrity.
