JPMorgan Chase

Community Banking Branch Fit-Out

Project Overview

As part of their initial expansion into the DC Metro market, Chase had a goal of opening eight branch locations before the end of the 2018 calendar year.

Chase/JLL requested that Vericon partner with them to build the Anacostia & MLK branch, located in the historic portion of underserved Ward 8. Vericon renovated two levels of a bar/club to make way for new VIA offices, reclaimed wood customer assist booths and office space on the second floor. As the building is considered historic, Vericon worked with the architect and the historic board to ensure all improvements complied with the historic requirements, which included relocating the rooftop mechanical equipment to be invisible from the street. The project was completed on-time and on-budget, while allowing for a community event during mid-construction with several Chase executives to announce their commitment to the underserved areas of DC.
