Adrianna Matyas, an Assistant Project Manager at Vericon Construction Company, has earned the LEED Green Associate credential placing her among an elite group of leading professionals in the green building industry. As a credentialed professional, Adrianna possesses knowledge of green building practices and how to support others working on LEED projects.

By passing the exam, Adrianna validated her field of expertise and has joined a global network of more than 203,000 professionals who have earned a LEED credential. LEED Green Associates are sustainability advocates committed to better building, design and operations through helping projects save energy, use fewer resources, reduce pollution and contribute to healthier environments for their occupants and the community. Adrianna is currently pursuing the next level of LEED certification and is studying for the LEED Accredited Professional exam.
According to Green Business Certification Inc., green jobs are in demand and by 2018, the green construction industry is expected to account for over 3.3 million U.S. jobs. Vericon Construction has completed more than twenty LEED projects across seven states including demolition, interior fit-outs and ground up buildings. Vericon’s LEED-Certified personnel count has grown to three people and with such high demand, the company intends to continue striving to meet and exceed their client’s sustainability goals by incorporating the LEED rating system into all their strategies and company practices.

In addition to the LEED Green Associate credential, GBCI also administers the LEED AP with specialty credentials; the SITES AP credential for landscape design and development; the WELL AP credential, which focuses on human health and wellbeing in the built environment; and the Urban Greenhouse Gas Inventory Specialist credential that focuses on community-level greenhouse gas emissions inventory accounting. GBCI has received and maintained Personnel Certification accreditation from the American National Standards Institute since 2011.
