Clara Barton Rest Area Delivered as Part of NJ Turnpike Service Area Revitalization Program

Project Overview

Vericon was selected as the contractor for New Jersey’s multimillion-dollar service area revitalization program, a $318 million, multi-phase initiative spanning the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway.

As part of this program, Vericon delivered the new Clara Barton Rest Area, a 13,000sf facility featuring dining options including Auntie Anne’s, Dunkin’, Chick-fil-A, and Burger King. This modernized rest area provides travelers with an enhanced experience, combining functionality and comfort through upgraded restrooms, expanded seating, and improved site amenities. Delivered within a broader portfolio of concurrent projects, the Clara Barton Rest Area reflects the program’s focus on modernization, efficiency, and improved traveler services across New Jersey’s highway system.
